Claudio C @Claudio666 3d Anatema / Anathema (2024) Messy Screenplay (12,607 – 05 Aug 2026 – Claudio Carvalho) When two police officers, an engineer and a priest die in the San Simeon Crypt in Madrid, the official explanation is that there was a leakage of gas. Sister Juana (Leonor Watling), who works in the convent as architect, is summoned by Bishop Rocco (Manuel de Blas), who asks her to search for the Seal of San Simeon in the catacombs of the church. She goes with Priests Ángel (Pablo Derqui) and Cuiña (Jaime Ordóñez) and Sister Mara (Keren Hapuc), where they face evil inside. "Anatema", a.k.a. "Anathema" (2024) is a disappointing Spanish horror film despite the good acting. The messy screenplay, with several subplots, is the main reason since the viewer becomes confused with the story. My vote is four. Title (Brazil): "Anatema" ("Anathema") See more Matias C @RT15731394 Jul 23 The movie never explains about the demond at the end, the movie is good at start but in the midle part there is not a specific theme or villian at the end the things just solving themselves, the movie is not boring but the story is awful and the CGI is a trash for a 2024 movie (The movie was financed by EU and Spanish Governement) Idk the budget movie by is just awful. See more Ricardo D @RT43154676 Jul 19 Very bad. The script gets lost in a plot that mixes mysticism with war. Later on, the explanations are either very superficial or nonexistent. The opening sequence bears little relation to the rest of the film. The performances can't decide whether to be over-the-top or serious. The camera they used turned out to be pointless in the end. Just before they removed the seal, a light was already visible before the lid was even lifted. Afortunadamente fui con mis amigas a verla y nos lo pasamos en grande mofándonos tanto de los actores como de la historia. La trama (si es que hay alguna) es lamentable y los efectos especiales dejan muchísimo que desear. Parece un proyecto de universidad editado con picsart y que han pagado el premium para que no aparezca la marca de agua. No le pongo un 0 porque no se puede. See more Read all reviews
