Where the filmmaking scores is in the production: a dungeon that is a maze of horrors, the lighting and camerawork, the eerie music that sets the mood. Go to Full Review

Chhorii 2 is so obvious in its badness that it makes dismissing it a lesser problem. The real horror? A third part in the works — and Nushrratt Bharuccha's painfully grating return. Go to Full Review

1.5/5
Spending a bulk of its running time meandering across corridors strewn in silly jump scares and ritualistic gobbledygook, Chhorii 2 frustrates way more than it frightens. Go to Full Review

While it's laudable that Chhorii 2 address such pertinent issues as infanticide and child marriage, it goes about in a very ham-handed way. Watch the film for its sincere performances. Go to Full Review

A socially charged horror tale packed with unnerving visuals and strong performances makes this a gripping watch—relevant and haunting. Go to Full Review

The intent is right and the theme is correct. The visuals are effective even if the execution falters. Go to Full Review

Nathan J. @NathanDirector 5d Rating: 4.7/10 ⭐️ I hoped for the first one's creepy vibe, but it honestly felt like a messy, over-the-top monster movie. What Worked: Chobey’s lighting in the underground labyrinths creates a gritty, claustrophobic feeling. Nushrratt Bharuccha anchors the chaotic script, giving the wild plot a solid emotional core. Bringing in Soha Ali Khan as a shape-shifting priestess adds a cool dark-fantasy dynamic. The Cuts: Through my Methodist and faith & flag lens, the child sacrifice and demonic cults push way too far into the dark occult. Cramming in so many threats made things convoluted, so the middle part really dragged for me. Also, the cliffhanger ending felt like a cheap move just to set up another sequel. Verdict: Trades atmospheric dread for convoluted monster lore and dark occult themes. Skip unless you're a die-hard fan. Favorite Line: “She must be shielded from the dark forces.” See more Read all reviews
