This film simultaneously amazes and disturbs to a level of total vibrant surrealism. It’s a trip which enlightens you to the evils of the world and the wisdom of the cosmos.

The only time I have ever felt hungover the next day just from watching a movie. Jordowsky is an alchemist with a camera and will have you questioning your beliefs by the end of this celluloid trip.

The holy Mountain was a visually stunning film. The imagery in this film feels surreal and gives an eerie feeling. The shots from this film make me truly appreciate the camera work that was put into this film. The film dives deep into themes like religion, greed, and power. This movie really makes you think because of all the symbolism buried beneath the surface. The goal of the film was to reach religious and spiritual enlightenment by reaching the holy mountain. Some scenes can give off a disturbing and random feeling, but everything is done purposefully for the viewer to ponder on the overarching themes. At times, I did find it hard to follow, but overall, it's a unique artistic masterpiece that was ahead of its time that I would recommend.
