In a remote cabin on the evening of a record-breaking blizzard, a young woman plots to poison her abusive husband in order to end their toxic relationship once and for all. When the poison fails to kill him, she not only has to quickly concoct a backup plan, but also contend with her husband's increasing suspicion that his intensifying illness isn't wholly accidental. And with the unexpected arrival of her brother, her carefully crafted scheme threatens to spiral ever further out of control. Now trapped together as the snow piles up, double-crosses and horrifying secrets threaten to ensnare each of them in their own spiderwebs of deception.

Laced has some solid ideas, but uneven performances and nebulous tension keep it trapped in the memory of better domestic thrillers.

The intriguing moments are too few and fleeting. What Laced lacks is a singular focus — a point of contention for the character to vie for that naturally draws in the audience and builds suspense.

It starts off pretty strong and I get that she wants to kill her husband, but the idea that she would sleep with... or that ANYBODY would sleep with Victoria's character is a step too far Nobody moves like that, nobody dresses like that, nobody talks like that, nobody acts like that... it's just a dumpster fire of a performance I would say it was unmatchable but its was so bad I couldn't take my eyes off of it Other than that, I thought it was scored exceptionally well But again... Awful the husband didn’t seem particularly violent, just a bit moody so audience could not engage on why she was poisoning him. The blonde girl is such a bad actress it just got worse and very weird when she turned up, then just so utterly boring I had to turn it off because I really stopped caring!

The majority of the cast members overact as if they are giving a stage performance. Shout out to Zach Tinker, whose acting is significantly better than that of everyone else in the movie. The production and photography are very good for a low-budget thriller.

Don't know where I'm heading with this story, but so far, the intro into their lives leaves little to the imagination of what prompted our lead character into action. The plot thickens, and the guest list appears to be growing. I am unsure how this latest entry into this fiasco of an escape or adventure will lean into our next plot point. Starting to smell the horrid scent of betrayal wafting through the air, I truly hope in reading things wrong this time. Definitely worth the watch, and it's hopefully worth the wait until the finale.

I thought it was decent for a low budget film. Some of the acting was a little weak, but the shocking ending really freaked me out. I can't recall being that surprised by something in a movie in a long time! Whatever it lacks is more than made up in that shower scene. Hitchcock would be proud!
