The movie might offer a very low commercial value. The movie's tone is actually emotional and the movie focuses on the toxic / abusive relationship. Manikandan and Gouri Priya did a great job with Sean Rolden's music adding a big strength to the movie. There might be some repeatativeness in the second half and could have trimmed the movie a little bit. But, for the bold content and the apt climax, lover is defnitely worth your time to watch! As the male character was crazy (he was a sudden and constant threat), I thought it'd end up badly but it ends on a relatively positive note. The movie ends with the following quote by James Baldwin: "Love does not begin and end the way we seem to think it does. Love is battle, Love is a war, Love is growing up." And, taking a cue from the movie, maybe Love is also growing apart!
