This movie has it all, from romance, mystery, drama and murder with a twist. Barbara Stanwyck truly shines as the leading lady in this spectacular story. Aside from the gorgeous background of a Victorian mansion this is Noir at its finest. Every scene is perfectly blended with the mood as the plot thickens. The Protagonists are wonderful people anyone can respect or even identify with. While the Villain Steve Morley (Lyle Bettger )creates tensions with his greed driven Narcissistic personality to the fullest.
