diogo13 T @Tua_mera Jul 14 As a direct sequel to "The Death of Superman," this adaptation fails to manage the pacing and the sheer number of new heroes it introduces. Watching Superboy, Steel, Eradicator, and Cyborg Superman vie for the legacy is conceptually interesting, but the script immensely rushes the mystery and resolution of the conflict. The animation in this shared DC universe continues with its usual generic and flat look, resulting in a rushed and mediocre conclusion to one of the most iconic sagas in comics. Seeing the other Supermen adapted fairly well was cool. They made some changes to the original story that were a head scratcher but it is what it is. With my complaints it’s still an enjoyable viewing experience. The animation and action are strong, Superboy is a fun addition, and Lex Luthor shines, but the story feels underdeveloped and rushed. Missing explanations and a lack of Justice League involvement make it feel incomplete. It’s still worth a watch for Superman fans, but it falls short of its predecessor.
