This film wanted to be a fun comedy about office romance, but I couldn't get past multiple issues that would have led our protagonists to be fired, disbarred, and fired again. See more S R @ScottR 03/28/2024 A gem of a communist film. I started watching it accidentally and I'm glad I stuck through it. It was a cute rendition of an office romance in a Russian bureaucracy. Kind of a Taming of the Shrew in that setting. The cultural jokes and intricacies make it worthwhile. Saw on youtube. See more 12/25/2012 A timeless classic of Soviet film that is not the least dusty and stale despite being released 35 years ago. The unlikely romance between a soft-spoken and kind clerk and widower and his serious and career-oriented boss is a timeless movie that has heart and humour.
