A series of interweaving vignettes spoof the Ten Commandments. In one story, a skydiver (Adam Brody) forgets to pack his parachute. When he lands, he doesn't die, but gets stuck in the ground, causing a media circus and jeopardizing his relationship with his girlfriend, Kelly (Winona Ryder). Later, Kelly begins a tumultuous relationship with a ventriloquist's dummy. In another story, a doctor (Ken Marino) obsessed with pranks accidentally kills a patient and winds up in jail.

Critics Consensus

Although a few of the sketches that make up The Ten are humorous, the uneven and random tone of the film cause it to fall apart.

The Ten (2007) is a 97-minute-long comedy from the USA I saw on Prime in April 2026. This is a weird movie/skit-show cross-over which sees a compare introduce ten skits, each based on one of the Abrahamic 10 commandments. It’s mildly funny, where the humour is crass, oddball and deadpan. 2007 was a different time, I guess. Rewatch? No. Recommend? No. 3/10.

"Goof"y, slapstick, tongue in cheek...ok, you could say silly and stupid if ya want, but it's friggin Funny. It sure entertained me. Whale of a cast too.

"Come on it was a goof!!!" little behind the times on this one, but I’m old so I still got some chuckles out of it. Mel Brooks movies/airplane if you like those movies, you probably think it’s funny.

The music at the end of the movie along with the music of the end credits made it make sense ... and was funny. Great actors made it all tolerable and Winona Ryder was primo !

i can't imagine a world in which anyone could even begin to find this funny. you have to be lobotomised to be able to make any connection at all between the ten commandments and the films. except perhaps for the MRTs.
