Phil H @P-Hubbs 1d This is easily one Chuck Norris's most recognised movies from the 80's. We've established that with the poster. Back in the day, it was somewhat shocking due to the violence, if I remember correctly. It was looked upon as a bit more adult, or nastier, than other similar action flicks from other stars of the genre. Rewatching now, the violence is still quite nasty in a moral sense, not so much visually. But as for everything else, on the whole, this movie is actually pretty poor frankly. The story is just total nonsense, laden with plot conveniences, goofy action, and a main villain who is so evil that he actually killed Billy Drago in the first ten minutes! You can't do that! See more Carson P @Parkerdean5 03/03/2025 Its easy for critics and film communists to mock This film as mindless nonsense with no real plot or logic to it but somehow I enjoy it I don’t know why but I just do it’s probably because of the scenes where norris fights the terrorists with to unusual guns and in an outfit that looks as if he is trying to be a potential action star there are amusing moments including lines he delivers like when he brings back a bomb that was to blow up a school bus to the terrorists and when he fixes a bomb that failed to explode just to throw it back at them and when he is involved with them yess speaking in a critical sense he phones in with acting since he whispers much of the time but he only shines when he is fighting. I honestly have three different ways to rate this moment on an enjoyment level just for those moments and set pieces it’s a 7 but in terms of story, charachters, dialogue, thought, meaning and overall quality it’s a 2-3 it’s worth watching for those who like mindless films without thinking and to have fun with knowing it’s bad considering how it was dismissed by critics both now and at the time it came out of course there’s no real story to it that it’s just terrorists attacking and a hero is to stop them no buildup or anything resembling nuance here it’s just mindless action through and through I reccomend anyone to watch it at risk only for those moments of norris fighting but be prepared to first sit through the nonsense acts to get there overall my rating is a 5 See more Read all reviews
