Baz’s zany debut is fun and unserious with doses of romance. There are elements seemingly stolen by the Hunger Games series. Watched on Amazon Prime.

Luhrman’s directorial debut sets up a glossier impression with an analogically frivolous screenplay that’s performatively unbalanced but cheerfully decent with spirited choreography in somewhat attempt of physical storytelling, even when adapting his own play with style over senses that improves afterwards.
