Jack M @Jackmac277 Oct 21, 2026 Underrated gem, one of my favorite horror movies. See more Jacob B @JB3.0 Oct 13, 2026 One of the more overlooked comic book movies out there (remember that time when such films based off of non-Marvel/DC IPs like Sin City and Hellboy were a thing?), 30 Days of Night has its problems - you'd think in a time when 24 was still one of the most popular shows around, they'd make it feel like the longest month of these people's lives but instead we get a couple of time skips...how has nobody tried making a miniseries? The sales pitch is right there: 24 with vampires - but the good performances (most notably from Danny Huston as the vampire leader and Ben Foster as the Stranger), some badass moments and even taking a few risks make this a good attempt at trying something different by mixing vampires with zombie apocalypse elements. See more TWMax65 T @RT38199094 Oct 13, 2026 While there was one pretty entertaining sequence with a chainsaw-like tool at the end of a construction vehicle that this one guy used and while there were a couple of decent and unique ideas, I could not get invested in this movie or these characters. Where did these Vampires come from? Why this specific Alaskan town and not other towns? What created them and where did they go next? They just left/disappeared to die??Too many unanswered questions and not enough depth. I largely regret buying and watching it. See more Gunner I @RT64755212 Oct 4, 2026 I love vampire movies. This one is by far my favorite vampire movie. It is so violent and bloody it catches my entire attention with almost every scene. **For the record, I am not a violent person. I just enjoy the movies** See more Matthew D @OceanSage Sep 18, 2026 Josh Hartnett is fantastic as a brave sheriff trying to save his town from a vampire horde. Director David Slade’s vampire horror thriller 30 Days of Night (2007) is super creepy, gory, and scary. Slade’s icy Alaskan backdrop is very sinister. The snow covers the entire little town as vampires show up. 30 Days of Night is full of beheadings of flaming corpses. Slade just lets his vampires loose as if his vampires are the zombies in 28 Days Later. It’s scary. The heartfelt ending is sad. Josh Hartnett is amazing, cool, gripping, and moving as 30 Days of Night’s hero Sheriff Eben Oleson. Hartnett never gives into fear and bravely attacks the vampires, leads a few survivors to safety, and keeps his cool under pressure. He’s such an underrated actor. Melissa George is pretty and courageous as the heroine Stella Oleson. I like that she really does try to help Eben, whether that’s convincing the townsfolk to go somewhere safer or conserve resources, or even help fight off vampires.
