Laurie (Jill Clayburgh) and Joseph Braga (Brad Davis) are a husband-and-wife team of child psychologists specializing in cases of sexual abuse. In gathering evidence from their witnesses, many barely old enough to speak, they're led to another couple: Frank Fuster (Gregory Sierra) and his wife, Ilana (Bess Meyer), who run a day-care center in a wealthy neighborhood in Florida. With a case resting on the account of one young victim, the Bragas have to persuade the child to testify in court.

Sue L. @RT70897187 5d The movie seemed a little “backwards” compared to 2026 but it was a “Made for TV” movie created in 1990. I saw it a number of years ago but even then, it came across as amateurish and the parents naive but it exposed the awful crimes of child sexual abuse and the sooner the better. The acts perpetrated on the children were horrendous and anything that exposed this was significant! So much more is now known about the sexual abuse of children in the 36 years since this movie was made. More educated parents are savvy and hopefully would recognize signs of child sexual abuse. Sadly, there are children who are victims of their own parent. Educators and others who deal with children also need to be aware when a child exhibits signs of unusual distress and be advocates for that child no matter the age. Ironically I was a victim of child sexual abuse but did not realize it until I was an adult and linked up with an appropriately educated psychiatrist. See more 02/14/2021 Quality of a "made for TV" movie. I expected a true crime story but it turned out to be sappy and one-sided. See more Read all reviews
