(12,242 – 29 Jan 2026) On the 750th anniversary of a small town in Denmark, its most illustrious son, the opera singer Hans Kristian will return for a concert. The stammered cook Sebastian lives with his girlfriend Claudia and both are working hard in the reception of the singer in a hotel. Sebastian began to stutter when he was a child and learned that her father committed suicide after leaving his mother. The hotel manager hires the maid Maria and when Sebastian sees her, they have sex since she was his sweetheart. When his mother arrives, Sebastian learns that his father did not commit suicide and is Hans Kristian. The confusion is made. "En mand kommer hjem", "When a Man Comes Home" (2007), is a Danish comedy with a different humor. The plot is entertaining and witty, and the situation of Sebastian, Maria and Hans becomes weird in the end. My vote is seven. The best parts are the attempts at Italian-ness and the beautifully shot and manipulated Danish countryside. From a visual point of view, I'm glad to say that this is the antithesis of Festen.
