Petros T @PetrosTserpelis 3 days ago The concept is cool, and the film delivers on multiple fronts but without ever really excelling in any of them. It has its romantic moments, however their relationship isn't explored enough, so it doesn't quite end up touching. It has its funny, quirky bits but doesn't even attempt to lean into its comedic side. It has action sequences, but they are too brief and slick to get fascinating. And it has a mindfuck plot, nevertheless it remains too vague and restrained to actually blow your mind. The performances of Blunt, Damon, Mackie, Slattery, and Stamp are excellent. The plot raises interesting takes on religion and free will. The movie often is criticized for plot holes. However, I think at least some of that criticism is due to not paying attention to nuanced points in the dialog, much like many incorrect criticisms of the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie; and some of that criticism really is pushback on concepts and on plot developments rather than identification of actual intellectual errors in the story. Usually I can predict where a movie is going and this one kept me guessing every step of the way. Acting is great and story very captivating! See more shane O @Shanes_DVD_Shack Apr 2, 2026 It’s a love story disguised as a science fiction thriller . We learn nothing about the magical men in the hats, they might be angles or something . Who cares I guess . The acting was pretty good it would be one to watch with your family . Not great but ok See more Moon P @Pm00nshin3 Mar 8, 2026 I was going to leave a satire negative review because this movie is absolutely unmatchable but post reading the prior reviews, some people clearly can’t grasp the nuanced genius of this piece of art. I am truly disappointed by the critics lack of thinking skills. The impecable blend of action and drama had me on the edge of my seat for the whole film. No movie has ever held my full attention through its entire course let alone had me balling my eyes out even after the movie had ended. It feels sad to say that my faith in humanity lessened because why was the first review I saw "doesn’t live up to its potential". :| As soon as I sat and managed to pull my self together I wrote a review for this movie for the first time ever. This is, by far the best movie I have ever watched in my life. If I could break the rating meter and give it an ∞/10 I would. And my hats off to the writer and director (+ actors) p.s I had written so much more but reached my character max so had to dumb it down. See more Read all reviews
