Claude (Alison Folland) is a young musician living in New York City's tough Hell's Kitchen neighborhood. She finds herself falling in love with her best friend, Ellen (Tara Subkoff), and although Ellen shows that she might be interested, Ellen is also involved in a relationship with a man named Mark (Cole Hauser). What starts as a tense love triangle soon turns dangerous when Claude realizes that Mark may have had a hand in the murder of her neighbor, Luke (Pat Briggs).

See more 11/18/2012 This could have been one of those horrible boring indie films where youths are horrible to each other and die in stupid ways a la Ken Park. If it were not for the fact this film is actually good. The characters' arcs are emotionally verisimilitudinous, their actions feel true, and the stakes feel real. The film somehow simultaneously lulled me into a false sense of security while keeping me on edge throughout, keeping me interested until the last frame.
