All this style is in service of a fairly formulaic story about volatile men going crazy at the edge of nowhere, with game performances only slightly elevating some fairly archetypal characters

Roper’s pitch-black character study owes a lot to its four gusty performances, which keep you glued to the screen.

Much of the film unfolds like a kind of low-rent Harold Pinter play. Crime doesn’t pay, they say, and this low-key compelling chamber piece emphatically agrees.

Still, boring, and listless, and there's a twist that had me rolling my eyes.

All the Devils Are Here has the bones of a taut little bottle thriller, but it’s missing the flesh and blood needed to make this the rumination on morality in an amoral profession that it wants to be.

The charismatic Claflin, meanwhile, cannot quite convince as an East End hardcase, and Gorman has precious little to do. By the time the heavily signposted ending comes, the sense is of an excellent opportunity missed.

Too slow and way too predictable. Too bad

I was immersed in this movie. Right there with the characters until the end. Screenplay was good to unravel the story while holding my interest. I think you have to be in the right frame of mind to let this movie tell you a tale, with no distractions as it’s not fast paced, but is engaging with some good camerawork punctuating a ticking clock atmosphere. I was gradually creeping further off the edge of my chair. It is a story of frustrations, reflection, and passing time, so don’t listen to the reviews that are disappointed in how that is perfectly conveyed throughout.

It was interesting only for it's message and overall meaning or depiction of purgatory. But it was very slow, and didn't live up to its full potential. Nothing happens until the last 20 minutes

Slow, dark, gloomy, a character study in a house that could have been part of the Trainspotting set. It's ok.

I thought the synopsis was promising so I gave it a shot. To begin with the criminal gang members are total movie caricatures: the tough as nails career criminal, the psycho, the naive kid, the numbers guy. This precludes any suspense or character development. They then spend the whole movie in one spot. The "twist" ending has been done before.
