Starring Lacey Chabert, the film leans heavily into comfort viewing, offering a light Valentine’s Day mystery built around a lost engagement ring and an Uber driver retracing past passengers. The premise is actually charming and gives the story a sense of momentum which helps keep it engaging Chabert is warm and reliable as always, carrying the film with ease even when the screenplay starts to wobble. And wobble it does. The story is filled with plot holes and odd choices, including a bizarre chocolate-themed subplot that clashes with basic logic. These moments don’t ruin the movie but they do make it feel thin and undercooked The romance is pleasant but flat, never quite reaching a memorable emotional payoff. The cast is likable, the tone is gentle, and the direction plays everything safely. Fast-paced, good banter with joking and teasing... we get to see their attraction grow through a ride through NYC on Valentine's Day/Evening. Romance without being cloying.
