The genre is horror, don't be mistaken. 'fantasy' gives you an entirely wrong impression. Not for the faint of heart. You have to be open minded and appreciate you will probably never know exactly what the fvck the explanation really is. Horrifying and gross. Glad I watched this alone (my loved ones would've spewed). Glad I watched it anyway I guess. This moving was a fvcking trip. An impressive debut from Evrenol, who went on to direct Girl with No Mouth. This film is visually bold and atmospherically oppressive, favoring mood over clarity. Mehmet Cerrahoğlu’s portrayal of “The Father” is haunting and physically uncanny. The deliberate pacing might be an issue for some but I found the movie mesmerizing. Quando chegam lá, um prédio abandonado, que foi uma delegacia de polícia anteriormente, se deparam com algo assustador. Um filme de terror turco. O diretor aprendeu muito bem com os filmes americanos e conseguiu fazer um filme totalmente original e bastante perturbador. O filme se apresenta, de início, como um terror psicológico, com uma tensão no ar, mostrando situações e cenas tensas e que já deixam o espectador desconfiado. Depois de 2 jump scares, no momento que os policiais chegam ao prédio abandonado, o terror e o sangue correm solto. Não há um desenvolvimento psicológico dos policiais, ficando apenas em estereótipos: o policial machão, o novato, o chefe experiente. Mas quando somos apresentados às pessoas que estão naquele prédio, temos uma das melhores construções de personagens estranhos e perturbadores. You don't really get the hints to what's going on until the end and then it hits you. Literally. Not crazy about having to use subtitles as the movie is in Turkish but still kept me watching. See more Anthony H @RT07485618 07/05/2024 Other than the foreign perspective of a Turkish horror film, I found it completely unoriginal. I won't complain about watching a van scene where the occupants sing along to the radio for an entire song, because, Turks? Who knows. I was fortunate to be able to ff past the slow bits, like when we watch for well over a minute while the antagonist sloooowly enters and takes his seat. Would not recommend.
