If this were a 1970s TV movie, it probably would have won a boatload of Emmys. Now, it lacks impact, although parents or grandparents worried their children don't appreciate the sacrifices of decades past might want to use it as a teaching tool.

Based on a true story, this movie about racism in the South accomplished what it set out to do - tell a story of injustice. I had several friends work behind and in front of the camera on this movie, so I recommend my Charlotte, NC friends to watch it and support it - otherwise there are better movies out there that deal with this issue.
