Greengrass knows how to shoot action. There is a hand-to-hand combat scene in Morocco that is as exciting, chaotic and violent as any sequence in the Bourne movies, I just wish he had spent more time on the moments between the mayhem. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

Straitharn's character is pretty cardboard, but he does his best with the writing, at least from what I can tell, but it's never satisfying. Damon does a great job, and the continuity of his 'disguise' even after he's blown isn't as bad as in the predecessors. Spoiler alert: when the asset that shot the journalist in London is later dying in the car, he has supposed mortal injuries, facial bleeding, and we see him later within 24 hours, running after Bourne with an umblemished face. Do CIA assets have time to get facials and sleep in a hyperbaric chamber, or do they just get showbiz makeup to hide the blemishes? The action is great, and it's always satisfying when the monster they created (Bourne) one-ups them at nearly every step. Probably a great warning for Artificial Intelligence.
