Senator Walter Chalmers (Robert Vaughn) is aiming to take down mob boss Pete Ross (Vic Tayback) with the help of testimony from the criminal's hothead brother Johnny (Pat Renella), who is in protective custody in San Francisco under the watch of police lieutenant Frank Bullitt (Steve McQueen). When a pair of mob hitmen enter the scene, Bullitt follows their trail through a maze of complications and double-crosses. This thriller includes one of the most famous car chases ever filmed.

This slow-burn detective drama is riddled with continuity errors and ambiguous plot points, but it’s certainly worth watching for the stylish cinematography and impressive acting that cemented Steve McQueen's status as the "King of Cool". The iconic car chase scene incredibly realistic and exhilarating, so it’s no wonder Bullitt remains a celebrated classic.

The gritty crime films of this era are my kind of films. Steve McQueen is just Steve McQueen and it features tbe finest car chase ever filmed with the coolest cars ever. Stone cold classic.

It remains a classic noir. The honest policeman is pursuing justice but in the end there is no triumph of the righteous. In addition to the universally recognized car chase in San Francisco, the pursuit on feet in the end among departing airplanes is very original. In the end after all the death and destruction the hero is left alone. He had used his coat to cover the face of the deceased criminal. The politician leaves in his stretch limo. McQueen returns home where his girlfriend is sleeping unperturbed.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, o filme tem uma cena boa que é a cena da perseguição dos carros com o carro clássico chamado bullit, e essa cena salva o filme de ser ruim, o elenco é mais ou menos, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, a história é fraca, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores, e relevantes para fazer o filme ser bom.
