Captain Marvel is an extraterrestrial Kree warrior who finds herself caught in the middle of an intergalactic battle between her people and the Skrulls. Representation isn’t worth much if the film in question isn’t worth a damn -- just ask Elektra or Catwoman. That’s not the case with Captain Marvel, which is reams of fun and, significantly, no different in quality from past solo superhero flicks.
