Bhoomi B @GraceReviews26 Jun 16, 2026 What a wonderful time it was to be a kid watching a movie like "Chillar Party". It's the perfect package of adventure, friendship, family values, a mother's love and affection, and the ambition to become better in life. The film teaches children important lessons about kindness, empathy, and treating others the way we want to be treated. At the same time, it doesn't shy away from showing that being good can sometimes come with sacrifices. That's what makes its message feel genuine rather than preachy. Re-watching it after more than a decade, I was surprised by how well it still holds up. The humor landed just as well as it did back then, I laughed so much my stomach hurt. Nostalgic, heartfelt, and endlessly entertaining, "Chillar Party" remains one of the best children's films to come out of India. See more

Anjum K @RT90179324 Dec 16, 2020 In the first hour everything seems so unnatural, over-the-top and contrived, all in the name of style even during desperate times but the movie improves as does the story while it moves along and redeems itself. See more

Aug 24, 2014 Childhood, the most memorable part of our lives, is highlighted through these mischievous little kids. Especilly when they say "7-8 nangey pungey bachhe kya badal denge." See more

Apr 12, 2014 Enjoyable & interesting story that is respectful of the depths of children in a very different culture. On one hand ignored & on another carefully supervised when the stakes are raised - the songs add a lot both in rhythm & melody but even more in their poetic lyrics. It's like a Hindi Newsies or Annie in terms of comparing this to musicals even though no actors sing here. See more

Sep 23, 2012 Loved it and great to see new wave Bollywood stuff, really uplifting entertainer, throughly enjoyed it and for a moment fantasized if the adults could show half the courage exhibited by the kids, the world would be generally a better place :-) See more
