Beautifully shot and well directed. Good dialog. Utterly unbelievable story, with Max meeting the beautiful prosecutor who also just happens to be the fifth person on Vincent's list. Takes "Shakespearean timing" WAY too far.

I've enjoyed this a lot more on this rewatch than my first time, but I can still see why I didn't enjoy it before. It has great dialogues and performances but a lot of the other stuff in it is a mixed bag for me. A lot of the choices in this, the general direction of the film, even though I understand and appreciate the intend behind making it the way it is, feels like made the film less than what it could've been. A lot of people seem to really love this film, but to me it looked kind of dated because of how a lot of the choices they made were visually interesting for the time more than anything. It's still a really good film but it could've been much better.
