Cruise lacked the deepdown malevolence required to bring Vincent to life. I wished him dead in the first few minutes he was on the screen -- and for the wrong reasons. Go to Full Review

Collateral rocks. It was one of the best films of that year and boasts plenty of great qualities, including the excellent work by Cruise and Foxx. Go to Full Review

Features many of the director’s trademarks: cool nighttime photography, men on a determined mission, and outstanding use of otherwise underused character actors. (20th anniversary) Go to Full Review

Roberto T Mar 5 the pacing, the charm, it oozes! See more David Mar 4 this movie is legendary and never gets old! I love Michael Mann and his style. great actors in this one who all left an impression See more Pat T. @PJ2580 6d Tom Cruise at his best See more Brad C @bradchatellier Mar 13 Beautifully shot and well directed. Good dialog. Utterly unbelievable story, with Max meeting the beautiful prosecutor who also just happens to be the fifth person on Vincent's list. Takes "Shakespearean timing" WAY too far. See more Steven Z. @veal4veal Mar 12 Im late to the show but this one shocked me. Great style, solid direction, and a very high quality sleeper level performance from the leads See more Jithin K @Jithin Mar 6 I've enjoyed this a lot more on this rewatch than my first time, but I can still see why I didn't enjoy it before. It has great dialogues and performances but a lot of the other stuff in it is a mixed bag for me. A lot of the choices in this, the general direction of the film, even though I understand and appreciate the intend behind making it the way it is, feels like made the film less than what it could've been. A lot of people seem to really love this film, but to me it looked kind of dated because of how a lot of the choices they made were visually interesting for the time more than anything. It's still a really good film but it could've been much better. See more Read all reviews
