Don W @Dwmson Apr 19 The film was a gender bender, with Aaron Paul playing a teary-eyed "damsel in distress" while Annabelle Wallis was his more macho, in-charge savior. I love that Aaron Paul is willing to turn typical tropes and gender roles on their head. He plays, in many ways, the damsel in distress here. It was interesting, compelling, and I felt the need to watch it to the end. As someone who worked at a video rental store through highschool and college that is high praise. I've seen films with much higher ratings on RT that were a lot less compelling watches. See more Michael G @RT93304011 08/13/2023 I really wanted to like this movie but the beginning crawled along and I noped out after about a half hour and then came back to it after watching El Camino hoping it would hold up. After some skipping of a lot of boring scenes, I got to the meat and I liked it. This movie could have benefited from a stronger editing hand. The cast all does very well, hence the 3 stars but I hated the ambiguous ending. Do they live or die? Nobody knows and do they really care at this point?
