The conjuring tapes feels like a made for TV horror film. The actors are reused throughout, inexplicably. Primary background dialogue is either domestic strife between characters we know nothing about, or web media personalities talking about footage and viewers. The acting from the main characters is respectable, but 'almost' all the extras with dialogue have that cheap "pretending" not to act vibe. That combined with the usual horror tropes of never trying to call the police or find any bystanders to help really puts it into the stinker bin. At the end the main connecting story isn't even fleshed out, so it relies entirely on the strength of the sub stories. If youre only in it to be tantalized its alright, but not for a horror satisfaction. It's shown in vignettes that the two main characters are watching on a found video. They're on the tape but can't remember the events having occurred. Definitely has a creepy factor to it.
