Frans B @FransB Oct 24, 2026 Brilliant work once again by Wes Anderson. Very intelligently written and told. Amazing cinematography and settings make this visually stunning. Very capable cast all excel in character. Heartwarming and charming. Filled with drama, intrigue, emotion, suspense, dilemma, awkwardness and humor. Very entertaining and captivating See more Delle T @thedelletorres Oct 7, 2026 The Darjeeling Limited is funny, melancholic, gorgeous, occasionally frustrating, and surprisingly tender. It may not have the emotional knockout power of The Royal Tenenbaums, but it has a particular sadness that lingers. It’s a movie about grief disguised as a quirky adventure—and beneath all the colors, symmetry, deadpan humor, and immaculate luggage, it’s simply a story about three brothers trying to find their way back to each other. See more Marco L @decatur555 Aug 5, 2026 The Darjeeling Limited has beautiful images, strong performances and a clear idea beneath all its eccentricity: three estranged brothers travelling through India while trying to reconnect with one another and face their family history. The problem is that I never fully connected with it. Wes Anderson’s absolute control over every colour, object and composition gives the film personality, but also creates a great deal of distance. Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody and Jason Schwartzman work well together, and the film becomes more effective when the jokes give way to genuine pain. Yet too much of it feels deliberately strange rather than meaningful. I understand what it wants to say about grief, family and spiritual journeys, but the story often seemed shapeless and a little silly to me. Beautiful to look at, but emotionally difficult to enter. The actors, main & supporting, are all excellent & perfectly cast. This made me see Owen Wilson in a whole new light; refreshing. Great story line & non-stop adventure. The ultimate buddy road trip…and best luggage set ever! See more Read all reviews
