Anjou is not chintzy with the upbeat schmaltz - again with the bouncy klezmer music! - but his chatty story on the decline of the urban eatery's ubiquity is not just about chopped liver, but the loss of Jewish culture.

This is an interesting documentary about the history of the delicatessen in America. There is a story woven into the interviews about a third generation restauranteur in Houston. I really enjoyed "Ziggy's" story and his desire to preserve a past generation.

A mouth-watering, heartwarming dive into the world of endangered Jewish delicatessens and the kitchen maestros cooking to keep the culinary tradition alive, one matzo ball at a time. A bonus for fellow Houstonians: Ziggy Gruber of Kenny and Ziggy's is the film's centerpiece.
