In this Michael Crichton adaptation, Tom Sanders (Michael Douglas) is a senior executive at a cutting-edge technology corporation on the verge of releasing an innovative new product. Sanders' boss, Bob Galvin (Donald Sutherland), is putting the final touches on a potentially lucrative merger and everything is in order for Tom until a vamp from his past, Meredith Johnson (Demi Moore), swoops in, stealing his impending promotion and then -- doubling down -- suing him for sexual harassment.

It is fun to see the world of tech 30 years ago, with virtual headsets, e-mail, and computer chips treated as exciting and new. Even so, the film feels dated now. And, surprisingly, Ennio Morricone’s score was disappointingly bland. I think it might have been ahead of it's time for the audiences in 1994 (the thought of a man being a victim of sexual harrassment might have seemed too far-fetched for people in 1994, but from what we now know in 2024 - it's VERY much possible). It's such a great film on the political maneuvering that happens inside big companies and the lengths ppl will go to in order to get a promotion. This movie is about way more than just a falsely accused man of sexual harassment. The music is great. The acting is great. The cinematography is great. The reviews here don't add up. This is easily an 8.5/10 movie every day of the week.
