In South Asia, Maya the monkey and her son Kip struggle to survive within the competitive social hierarchy of the troop at Castle Rock. When neighboring monkeys take over their home, Maya's whole troop is forced to relocate. She uses her ingenuity to lead the members of her extended family to untapped resources amid strange new creatures and unfamiliar surroundings. Ultimately, the entire troop must work together to reclaim Castle Rock, where Maya hopes her son will have a bright future.

Devotees of more objective Nature documentaries will suffer through a questionable soundtrack and a few moments of overemphasized slapstick, but the world represented here is undeniably stunning on a visual level, and certainly dramatic on its own terms.

“Monkey Kingdom” is a mix of IMAX nature flicks and virtually every “National Geographic” special. The photography is beyond impeccable and the narration by Tina Fey is at once warm, edgy, droll, and clever and lends the film unexpected but welcomed bite.

Natural purism felt rather amiss around the monkeying kingdom of the environmental brand's continuous credibility being questioned through coincidental storytelling clichés based and observed through studied depiction. Nonetheless, Tina Fey narrates in her own fun way like most narrators replicating ourselves observing during zoo visits while packed with an unexpected social theming demonstrating the way of life is even mirrored in the animal kingdom and captivating selective characterization putting acceptance to the questioning due to witty amusement as well some heartening relief. As far as nature movies go, this one was cute enough to entertain me. It is narrated by Tina Fey and she does an alright job with it. It is beautiful to watch in HD and is family friendly. It's not for everyone, but sometimes it is fun to just watch a bunch of crazy monkeys!

Synopsis
