Rocky (Jane Levy), Alex and Money are three Detroit thieves who get their kicks by breaking into the houses of wealthy people. Money gets word about a blind veteran who won a major cash settlement following the death of his only child. Figuring he's an easy target, the trio invades the man's secluded home in an abandoned neighborhood. Finding themselves trapped inside, the young intruders must fight for their lives after making a shocking discovery about their supposedly helpless victim.

I never feel totally comfortable watching a movie in which the heroine is punched repeatedly in the face, in wide shot, by a muscle-bound psychopath until she blacks out.

The suspense is built as carefully as it is in a good John Carpenter movie; Alvarez uses the camera like a stealth weapon, exploring dark corners and hidden areas of the house with devilish glee.

This movie was genuinely the worst movie I ever laid my eyes on, not only was the "plot twist" dog ass, they tried to make the burglars who broke into the only man’s house trying so hard to be a victim, and when he defends him self and tie the girl up to make her get pregnant she starts hitting him when she gets out?? Like that’s fully your fault and all the wrong people died you don’t know how badly I wanted that blonde retar3d to die, like what are y’all crying and sulking for your stealing and breaking in??? And all of a sudden she gets strapped and about to get a baby put inside of her and she’s all sulking and gasping and beats his @ss for no reason?? Then said he’ll be arrested for what he did, thank god the old man is alive in this movie and so is the dog but that stupid blonde didn’t die cause idk? She had drunk drug addicted parents and that’s her boo hoo story? Like whattt?? I would’ve put 0 star

just a really thrilling time with this. a unique and interesting concept which allows for some really excellent, well shot and well acted sequences. so many nail biting moments. also just love the balls to have an ending like that.

A unique story by the modern horror filmmaker Fedé Alvarez. You get a really good performance from Stephen Lang with a dark twist. One of my favorite thrillers of the 2010s
