If you have no brain cells, and enjoy watching regular white people get taken advantage of as actors you’ll probably enjoy this. I could just say that there was not a single positive thing about this movie to enjoy AT ALL. start to finish I was completely disappointed and disgusted and the ending left me distraught. Such propaganda. To Mel Gibson, Vince Vaughn, Thomas kretschmann, Jennifer carpenter, Laurie Holden, don johnson, udo kier, Fred Melamed, Justine warrington, Matthew MacCaull, Primo Allon, Jordyn Olson, Clare Filipow, Richard Newman, Andrew Dunbar, Jenn griffin, Cameron Grierson, Paul Rogic, Matt Kennedy, David Quinlan, jay hindle, Brett Alexander Davidson, I’m so sorry you had to be a part of this movie. The people responsible for this movie are also part responsible for so many issues in this world like the normalized idea of "white peoples culture being bad" and also trying to destroy the white race. The main reason I didn’t like it was that in all the time there was in the length of this movie, it didn’t make me truly understand or feel for the characters. There was a lack of important details about their lives. There were some hints but not enough to understand them and feel anything about them, even though there was plenty of time to build those into the plot. See more Richard B @Komard Jan 4 Dragged Across Concrete has a solid crime-thriller premise and strong performances, particularly from Mel Gibson, who remains compelling even in morally abrasive roles. The story itself is engaging, tense, and thematically grounded in desperation, loyalty, and consequence. However, the film is held back by its pacing. The opening act in particular is unnecessarily drawn out, delaying momentum and testing patience before the plot fully engages. What should feel taut instead unfolds slowly, with long stretches that dilute tension rather than build it. Once the narrative settles in, the payoff is effective, but the journey to get there is longer than it needs to be. With tighter editing and more urgency early on, this could have been a much stronger film. As it stands, it’s a good movie that could have been better—worth watching, but not without pacing-related frustration. The sequences make NO SENSE in the order they are shown. ABSOLUTELY NO CHEMISTRY between ANY OF THE ACTORS. Vaughn is the only one who pulls it off, and just barely.
