People often throw around the term slow burn whenever a film has pacing issues. It is a signal that the audience needs to be patient in an age where people consume media in shorter and shorter formats, patience is a virtue in limited supply.

Another tale of addiction that gets the family involved. This doesn’t really get interesting until it reaches the point where the viewer doesn’t know what direction is left for it to go, faux resolution an hour early kept it interesting for longer than than it had any business being. Was lacking better resolution with the daughter.

Good Thriller (12,286 - 18 Feb 2026) In Echo Valley Farm, the owner Kate grieves the death of her mate Patty. Her junkie daughter Claire arrives and asks Kate to buy another cellphone for her, since her boyfriend Ryan has throwed hers into the sea and she throwed away his things off a bridge. Ryan appears in the farm and says there were 500 g of drugs in his bag, and he needs to pay Jackie. When Jackie arrives, he believes Kate has money while Claire and Ryan flee to hide. Claire returns to her mother saying that she killed Ryan during a fight, and Kate sinks the corpse in the Marsh Lake. Until the day she sees Ryan with Claire. "Echo Valley" (2025) is a good thriller but why the writer made Julianne Moore lesbian is a question, maybe to satisfy minorities. Claire is an obnoxious character with her manipulation, and the cameo of Kyle MacLachlan is only to give his name to the credits. The twist in the end in great and unexpected. My vote is seven. Title (Brazil): "Echo Valley"

Very poor plot and average performance of the cast. Looks like a juicy contract with no heart and soul into it . Went till the end for my high esteem of Julian Moore. Will not get caught twice
