Critics Consensus

Led by an arresting Sam Worthington performance, Fractured is a reasonably diverting mystery with enough thrills to make up for a familiar story.

What's most startling is how little energy Anderson and company bring to it visually. Go to Full Review

When I wasn't busying myself making an internal checklist of films I was reminded of, I was happily playing armchair detective, curious enough to engage with the pieces I was given. Go to Full Review

The sort of psychological suspenser that proves grueling for all the wrong reasons. Go to Full Review

It's not bad, but it's not particularly good. It tries to be a paranoid, conspiracy thriller with an issue about the reliability of its narrator, but I found it too predictable to be truly effective. Go to Full Review

Basically what I'm saying is we've seen this film several times before - but that's not necessarily a bad thing. There's plenty of room for contemporary remakes/re-tellings/rehashes... Go to Full Review

Without the star charisma or narrative ingenuity necessary to propel its story forward, this one never lets audiences out of the waiting room. Go to Full Review

Findley S @findleygsmith Oct 24, 2026 Maybe Fractured is a cliché-d take on a psychological thriller that we've all seen in different fonts throughout the years, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The acting was pretty good and the casting was excellent. The colors and mood that the cinematography created was right for the tone of the film. It was not the most creative; just cool tones and grayscale, but that's what the genre calls for. The twists and turns were wildly predictable but at one point they over-explained the rational argument and I almost hoped that just maybe, the guy wasn't really crazy. But alas, what drama centered on suspense and alluringly ominous piano notes without a crazy main character being gaslit? Overall, I would recommend watching if you've seen all the great noir thrillers of late. See more Paul S @PManRager Aug 14, 2026 This movie was trying to tell a bunch of different stories, none of which intersected in a good way. It was boring for the most part, and there were so many parts that were just flat-out weird. Sam Worthington gave an admirable and emotional performance, but it wasn't enough to make the movie exciting. There are a lot of better movies out there, so you're better off just skipping this one. I thought it was excellent See more Freddy S. @Redman12 Jun 25, 2026 Great twist at the end! See more Medina T @RT13513229 Jun 19, 2026 i don't know why this movie is ranked so low i personally loved it a great movie and psychological message really plays with your mind and i dont think its predictable as a psychological thriller fan one of the best ones recommended See more AaBowe T @RT32964999 May 13, 2026 Seen too many critics of this movie saying it’s predictable and boring but I beg to differ, the writing and pacing of the film really keeps you on the fence about whether Ray is actually telling the truth or not, prime example is at the construction site where the psychiatrist is making ray see that he killed them and then cuts to the stray dog, reigniting the belief that the hospital are the antagonist, would definitely recommend a watch!
