Critics Consensus

Free Fire aims squarely for genre thrills, and hits its target repeatedly and with great gusto -- albeit with something less than pure cinematic grace.

Wheatley allows his notorious black humour to resurface, and with 90 minutes of mindless shootouts, he reaches his goal.

Free Fire is a bloody fun time once it gets its footing and takes aim.

The third-act shootout is a staple of a certain kind of film, but in Ben Wheatley's Free Fire it's essentially the entire movie. Against all odds, it works.

Cartoonish and pulpy in the best ways, Free Fire is neither original nor an instant classic, but it's made with skill and talented performers to support the simplicity of the basic scenario.

Minha nota: 4/10 — uma ideia promissora, prejudicada por uma estória fraca, um enredo repetitivo e uma ação que, depois de certo ponto, deixa de surpreender.

Total waste of my time. I like Brie Larson and Cillian Murphy. But this was an hour and a half film with at least 75 % of it, these clowns simply shooting at each other. Could not care less about any of the characters. My one and a half stars is being quite generous.

Shoot-outs, much???!!! There are some truly funny lines in this movie, but a comedy it is NOT.

Funny and probably on the more realistic side of movie shootouts. Somehow a great storyline created out of very limited space and time.
