Joanna T @aerialgirly92 1d It waqs interesting. A hubby is initially perfect, then loses his job and spirals downhill. Takes steroids, and works out a lot. Hits the wife but claims that she hit him. Lost his job and blames it on her for not taking care of the kids. She starts a business and gets successful. He tries the same but isn't successful. She takes the kids & leaves him. He tries to win her back by being on good behavior and telling her he has cancer. She doesn't want to get back with him. Then in the middle of the night, he wears a mask & takes a gun and strangles her a bit. Someone told her that he might be a narcissist who needs admiration, so when she realizes it's him, she tells the robber that she loves her hubby & not to hurt him. After he leaves, the hubby shows up in normal clothes. The police arrive after he called but she tells the cops that it was him. He is sentenced to jail. It felt like he got strange out of the blue, but just from steroids? Steroids can make people mean and violent but it was never clear if he was a real sweetheart before those. It felt shallow. Perhaps with more background it would have been more understandable. It was rushed and you are left wondering how this side of him just popped out of the blue. Add to that lackluster acting and wooden dialogue, and it's pretty much unwatchable. If the goal was to create sympathy for Morgan, this film dismally failed. See more Clarissa S @RT73889831 4d I made it 25 mins in and I was audibly gagging at how poor the acting was and how terrible the camera work was. YOU CAN LITERALLY HEAR THE PERSON HOLDING THE CAMERA SHUFFLING during the scene at Levi’s birthday where Morgan is cleaning up inside and Rodney comes in asking her to stop. The crappy acting and terrible bouncy nauseating camera angles really do this whole story a huge injustice. Every emotion this should have portrayed was forced, fake, and almost annoying at how bad a job and poor effort that was put into this production. QUALITY should have been prioritized and sadly it wasn’t. She truly carries the film and makes Morgan’s experience feel painfully real. Austin Nichols also does a strong job portraying the manipulative husband, creating a character that viewers quickly grow frustrated with. The most heartbreaking part is knowing this actually happened.
