Utpal Dutt’s obsession with mustaches and traditional values contrasted against Amol Palekar’s desperate attempts to keep his job creates endless hilarity. The movie is full of hilarious situations, funny misunderstandings, and memorable characters that keep the audience laughing from start to finish. The chemistry between the four friends Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi, and Tusshar Kapoor is the biggest strength of the film. Their comic timing and constant mischief make many scenes unforgettable.The story is simple and doesn't focus much on logic, but that's not the main attraction. The movie is designed purely for entertainment, and it succeeds with its fast-paced humor, witty dialogues, and funny twists. Some jokes may feel over-the-top, but they fit the film's lighthearted style. See more yash b @yashbansal 04/04/2019 The first "Golmaal" is a pretty goofy, over the top, and ridiculous movie. That being said, it also made me laugh quite a bit. Almost every outrageous situation in this movie is very funny and the characters are constantly saying funny things. The story can feel a bit repetitive at times and I also thought it ended kind of abruptly, but I had fun throughout the movie. I think if you choose to watch this movie, you have a decent idea of what you're getting yourself into. It's a silly comedy that made me laugh, and therefore, did what it set out to do successfully. If you don't take it too seriously, it's an enjoyable movie that is one of the better comedies Bollywood has to offer.
