There are many twists and turns which can be hard to keep up with; I had to go back and watch a couple of scenes more than once. A great look at morals, ethics, and police corruption as well. Those final few minutes stick with you and make you really think. However, the main story line in the end makes no sense. There's this real thing called Child Protective Services. Call them and report if someone is a terrible Mom and does nothing to hide the fact.
