Dr. Don Shirley is a world-class African-American pianist who's about to embark on a concert tour in the Deep South in 1962. In need of a driver and protection, Shirley recruits Tony Lip, a tough-talking bouncer from an Italian-American neighborhood in the Bronx. Despite their differences, the two men soon develop an unexpected bond while confronting racism and danger in an era of segregation.

Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. The dynamic between Mortensen and Ali was great and the movie itself is a reminder of how far we have come in the past 50 years. Great movie and definitely worth the watch.

One of my all time favorite movies. Vigo is spectacular. Mahershala Ali Is what he always is. Simply mesmerizing. He immerses himself in every role he has and this is no different. If you’ve already seen it, watch it again. You missed something. Then again just to be sure.
