Smart, sweet, and inventive, Groundhog Day highlights Murray's dramatic gifts while still leaving plenty of room for laughs.

Chicago connections are many for the Bill Murray classic that’s funny, poignant and way better than sweet vermouth on the rocks, with a twist.

Groundhog Day is a charming and hilarious film. Or did I already say that? Anyway, it is worth repeating.

This fantasy still provides more laughs during its first 45 minutes than most comedies can muster in double the time.

As home releases and re-releases start to fall into a bit of an endless cycle, it makes a weird bit of sense that Groundhog Day would lack a certain excitement and feel like more of what we’ve seen, yet still bring about a little bit of joy.

Nothing suggested that this would gather steam over time and emerge as one of the most respected comedies of the past 30 years.

Whats not to like about this classic?! Bill Murray progresses through all of the stages of becoming a truly wonderful human being with a comedic timing that is unsurpassed. From the arrogant star, through finding ways to get selfishly what he wants from anyone, to finding what it takes to be genuine with his feelings to make his best selfand finding out that his humble self has finally found love, peace, and happiness. Its a lesson we all can benefit from while memorizing the most hilarious lines you will find yourself using in your own life. We have seen it hundreds of times, but the line is always that weve only seen it once.over and over again!!

GHD is a very funny movie no matter how many times you see it. BM is great in the role playing the part very well. You can’t imagine anyone else playing the role. A joy to watch.

I mean it was ok but this film is just not for me, I don't enjoy it like others do, personal preference.

I honestly expected this to be just a simple, old-school comedy, so I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The time-loop idea is funny on its own, but what makes the film work is watching Phil slowly change as he is forced to live the same day again and again. It feels surprisingly human without trying too hard to deliver a message. Bill Murray's performance makes the whole thing even more enjoyable, especially the way his character gradually becomes less selfish. Funny, charming, and genuinely heartfelt. A really good film that earned a 4/5 from me.

Groundhog Day is comedy perfection. A brilliantly weird little time-loop that somehow gets funnier every time it repeats. Bill Murray is absolutely hilarious, and the quotable one-liners are as timeless as the movie itself. It’s clever, charming, and packed with laughs, proving that sometimes the best way to escape a bad day is to live it 500 times until you finally get your act together.
