Toby is a divorced father who's trying to make a better life for his son. His brother Tanner is an ex-convict with a short temper and a loose trigger finger. Together, they plan a series of heists against the bank that's about to foreclose on their family ranch. Standing in their way is Marcus, a Texas Ranger who's only weeks away from retirement. As the siblings plot their final robbery, they must also prepare for a showdown with a crafty lawman who's not ready to ride off into the sunset.

As a big fan of westerns, I am always looking for good ones that I have not seen. I found this one on a list of great westerns & if it's not "great" it is certainly very good.Jeff Bridges is as always excellent. The cinematography is terrific w/ beautiful west Texas as fine scenic setting. By all means watch this fine film! Orin P. Domenico

Really enjoyed this movie. Intriguing plot with a great cast and performances. Chris Pine and Jeff Bridges were incredible and the final scene of their two characters meeting as a culmination to the movie made for a great ending.

Desperate, beautifully shot, Foster and Pine do super well together. Bridges and Birmingham also are tailored tightly in this. It’s just a great watch. Easy to get into, easy to invest, and a story that is reimagined in the desperate time of today. Rock solid, will recommend. 83/100

The setting was wonderful, the dry Texas scrublands and the dirt-poor Texas towns, and the interaction between the cops and the robbers, Jeff Bridges was great, and so were both of the robbers but I particularly like Chris Pine’s performance
