Kevin H @ArcaneGeek 1d iGirlfriend is a lesser remake of the 1985 movie Weird Science. The premise is updated with modern vocabulary, but the premise is the same - two losers create a fantasy girl in a computer. Then through some "accident" the computer is able to not only spontaneously imbue the computer creation with full artificial general intelligence. Not only that, but the same accident also somehow creates a living, breathing artificial "person" who has programmable personality and abilities, some of which are super-human. There are hijinks, sexual inuendo, and violent confrontations that are very similar to those in Weird Science. And also the same sort of "growth" in the protagonists as they find new confidence in themselves. The biggest issue isn't that it is a remake, but that the execution is not as "cute" and the characters are not as charming. iGirlfriend has more updated special effects, but they fall flat trying to carry a poor script and uninspired acting. Go watch the original. See more 11/12/2019 This production felt like it was filmed and acted by high school students. It wasn't a bad film, but it wasn't good either. I found it to be quite silly yet humoures at times which is a good thing. This is a movie I only recommend watching if you are very bored and just want to watch a something stupid.
