Charles T @CharlesGaming1000 Oct 14, 2026 Glad I thought it was good! Never understood why people didn’t like the insidious sequels See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Oct 12, 2026 Insidious: Chapter 2 was disappointing for me. After watching the first film and enjoying what it brought to the table, I expected this sequel to build on that story and deliver something just as engaging. Instead, it felt like the momentum disappeared, and I struggled to connect with what the movie was trying to accomplish. The story still has some relevant ideas, and the overall franchise has material that could make for an interesting horror series. Unfortunately, the screenplay felt dry and rough, and the development never became as compelling as I wanted it to be. Rather than moving the story forward in a meaningful way, the film felt bland and left me waiting for something stronger to happen. Ultimately, Insidious: Chapter 2 is not my favorite entry, and it did not leave the impact I expected after the first movie. You can check it out if you want to follow the franchise, but I would not choose to revisit it. I am still unsure about the direction of the overall series See more Gunner I @RT64755212 Oct 10, 2026 I do like this movie although I do wish it were better. It's not a bad movie and that's for sure. See more Nolan M @vyzee Oct 9, 2026 Not as scary or good as the original, but still effective. See more Wayne K @WayneKelso Oct 7, 2026 It’s very rare that a single good idea in the horror world will be left alone, and that’s why there are, at the time of writing, 6 Insidious films. The 2nd one manages to replicate some of the original’s tension but much of the magic is gone now. It’s a film that has to rewrite established rules, reset characters and bend over backwards to make the story work. Specs & Tucker are back, providing comic relief so Godawful that I swear they were some covert attempt by Leigh Whannel to sabotage his own script. Patrick Wilson manages to be a bit creepy this time, rather than being the plank of wood he was in the first one. Rose Byrne is still giving it her all but it just feels like a film that exists because its predecessor made money, not because the story had somewhere new or unique to go. There’s worse ways to spend your time, but I could name about 100 other horror films that you’d be better off watching instead.
