Wc W @WcWeber Jul 11 John Ridley has attacked a cultural icon more famous than he can ever hope to become, with that bad, old stereotype of a woman beater. For what? For the sake of a storyline? Even the woman who he "beat" in the movie (Kathy Etchingham- she is still alive) said it never happened. Jimi Hendrix was no angel but I see this as nothing other than a calculated attack on his legacy. See more mark G @Mark_Alan_G. Mar 4 It's a pretty good film. It gives a lot of information about Jimi you might not have known. Andre absolutely nailed the voice and mannerisms. Oddly I thought he wasn't talk enough, but turns out, he was same height as Jimi. I guess my perception of Jimi is truly larger than life. It's not a huge/epic film, not a giant budget, but better than that Bohemian Rhapsody nonsense.
