After a disastrous mission in Mozambique, British agent Johnny English (Rowan Atkinson) has retreated to a Tibetan monastery to try to forget his shame. But when he receives an urgent call from MI-7 to lead a mission that only he can handle, English is back in action. Using his questionable combat skills and an assortment of high-tech gadgets, English, along with his new partner, Agent Tucker (Daniel Kaluuya), must foil a plot to kill the Chinese premier.

Johnny English Reborn is a decent UK spy comedy that improves in some areas compared to the first movie. The film keeps the silly humor and over-the-top spy action, while also feeling a little more polished and confident. Rowan Atkinson carries the movie easily with his physical comedy and awkward charm. The action scenes are surprisingly entertaining for a comedy, and some jokes land really well. At the same time, not every gag works, and parts of the story feel predictable or repetitive. It is more focused on fun than originality, but that is clearly the point. Overall, Johnny English Reborn is a light and enjoyable spy parody that does enough to stay entertaining. It is not one of the best comedy films out there, but it delivers a few good laughs and a fun atmosphere. I would give it a 6/10.
