The Bride (Uma Thurman) picks up where she left off in volume one with her quest to finish the hit list she has composed of all the people who have wronged her, including ex-boyfriend Bill (David Carradine), who tried to have her killed four years ago during her wedding to another man. Leaving several dead in her wake, she eventually tracks down Bill in Mexico. Using skills she has learned during her assassin career, she attempts to finish what she set out to do in the first place.

n the hyper-kinetic Kill Bill 1 you didn't know when the end happened, in Vol 2 you often wish the proceedings could hurtle to the finale, fast.

I don't even want to do Tarantino and his pathetic accomplices the honour of recounting the narrative of the second "volume" of this exercise in trashpedalling, and frankly I don't need to, because there isn't a plot to speak of.

...Volume 2 is very different—in tone, textures, and rhythms—from its predecessor: here, the violence progresses towards minimalism, while the characters shed their abstract skin so that their souls can grow (and overflow). [Full review in Spanish]

As in many Tarantino films, his dialogue is never really specific to characters. It’s Tarantino’s world and everyone in it basically speaks the same way. But incredible actors like Thurman manage to make the lines her own.

I hate to say it, but this is my least favorite Quentin Tarantino movie. I honestly just thought it was boring and the action was not as good as the first one, and I thought the ending was a bit anti-climactic. I was disappointed by Volume 1 although I still thought it was good, but Volume 2 is honestly just a bad movie in my opinion. It is not the worst movie ever made by any means though. There are still a few things about it that are ok. It is just not good in many ways to say the least. 3/10

Acho que o volume 1 foi um pouco melhor por ter mais ação. O volume 2 focou mais nos diálogos, mas foram bem feitos. Foi interessante aprender mais sobre Beatrix e o que a levou a matar Bill, e o final foi ótimo.

Yes, this film isn't as good as the first. But this film sets itself apart from the previous by having a decidedly slower pace to it. The first film is almost all action. This one slows things down and explores more of how the characters got to where they are. This film balances out the first one with this slower pace and gives the story its much needed closure. No, it's not a bad film. In fact, it's a terrific film. Not one of my favorites though.

Synopsis
