Sean T @RT02002847 Mar 15 Its corny and the usual teen rom-com story. The thing is that this story is cornier than usual and the characters are so corny, clueless and gullible. Its a waste of money making this movie. The film stars Asher Angel, who delivers a strong performance and shows how much he has grown as an actor. Seeing him transition from younger roles into a romantic lead is interesting, and he brings genuine charm and emotion to the character. The storyline itself feels somewhat predictable, with many moments that resemble typical romance films. Despite that, the film still works because the chemistry between the characters helps keep the story engaging. The emotional moments land well enough to make the journey worthwhile. Not every performance is perfect, as the main actress can feel a bit cheesy at times. Even so, the cast mostly keeps the story grounded.
