Jacob W @RT17896586 Oct 17, 2026 Veteran police detective Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover) is only days away from retiring when he and his tough partner, Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson), are roped into an important internal affairs case. Working with the beautiful, no-nonsense Sergeant Lorna Cole (Rene Russo) and aided by the shifty informant Leo Getz (Joe Pesci), Murtaugh and Riggs begin to close in on a black-market weapons operation involving corrupt cop and arms dealer This is a great film with the opening scene. Grab The Cat is still amazing as it the bike scene. So hold tight for one crazy ride See more Robert P @Superbad Sep 20, 2026 Lethal Weapon is just an okay movie! See more Chris S @Janomi Jul 20, 2026 Lethal Weapon 3 is good because the Riggs and Murtaugh partnership still works. By this point, the series is running largely on Mel Gibson and Danny Glover’s chemistry, and their friendship feels easy, funny, and lived-in enough to keep the movie watchable even when the plot is weaker. Rene Russo is a great addition as Lorna. She is tough, smart, funny, and capable enough to match Riggs instead of just being a love interest, and her chemistry with Gibson helps freshen up the series. Murtaugh’s retirement anxiety also gives the movie some emotional grounding, bringing the "getting too old for this" idea closer to the surface. The action-comedy rhythm is lighter and more relaxed, with the opening bomb sequence, shootouts, armored-car material, and final confrontation keeping things moving. The villain is not very memorable, and the movie feels safer than the first two, but it is still enjoyable. See more Kauã M @KauaMiguel May 14, 2026 It's entertaining again; if you're binge-watching it, you'll notice a drop in character writing and how things get a little sillier, but the dynamic between the duo remains a strong point that I particularly enjoy, although I understand the clear drop in quality.
