Long N @RT96305217 Dec 4, 2023 It's eye-opening and made me see that I've taken peace and freedom for granted. The bravery of this man Sun Yi has inspired me to be more courageous and stay true to my values and beliefs. Seeing this is absolutely worth it for me! See more

Apr 23, 2020 Deeply moving, incredible story of human perseverance and will. This is absolutely a must watch, to honor the experience of all persecuted peoples in China. See more

Aug 4, 2019 Not sure if or when it got distribution but I saw it last March at Sebastopol Doc Film Festival and thought it was a really wonderful movie. More than a little 'hard on the heart' to discover the depth of brutality of the Chinese government at the time that this film was made. It was not a small feat to get this footage out of China and into the hands of the Canadian editor. Well made, edifying, shocking, engaging, sad! It fits my parameters for a truly satisfying documentary film. See more

Dec 31, 2018 What a sad film. Couldn't help but feel for Sun Yi. See more

Oct 10, 2018 The bravery and heart it took to make this film is astounding. I hope that tells you something about the story itself - tense, nerve-shattering, Sun Yi's modest kindness and good heart makes his torture and mistreatment at the hands of China's authorities. All for his spritual beliefs? This doc is one of the best I've ever seen in my life. See more
